Objectives: This study is designed to find out whether strength training can normalize the tone in spastic upper extremity muscles and improve the strength of the spastic upper extremity muscles.Materials and Method: The study was conducted on 30 subjects with elbow flexors spasticity and were divided into experimental and control groups. Both the groups received conventional physiotherapy and Experimental group received strength training in addition. The parameters like strength and spasticity were measured isokinetically.
Result: The strength training program had no statistical significant effect on tone of the spastic elbow flexors between the two groups. t value 0.48 at p value 0.636(not significant) There is a statistically significant difference between two groups in the strength with the improvement in the experimental group. t value 6.03 at p value
Conclusion: This study concludes that strengthening program has minimal effect on spasticity & effective in improving the strength without deleterious effect on spasticity.

Introduction: Trunk muscle co-activation that is necessary for development of sitting postural control is delayed in cerebral palsy children which is a common developmental disability that is caused by to brain damage before, during (or) after birth, prevalence of cerebral palsy is 3.3 per 1000 (or) 1 in 303 children are affected by C.P. Damage to Brain motor control centers, leading to impairment of abnormal posture and movement which may change as child grows resulting in developmental delay and give rise to importance of rehabilitation for correction of impairment.AIM: To know the efficacy of NDT based trunk protocol on Gross motor function in children with Cerebral palsy.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of NDT Trunk protocol on sitting postural control by GMFM and functional reach test.
Methodology: 30 C.P Children were divided in to the groups, Group 1 received NDT Trunk Coactivation protocol (n=15). It contains Trunk (Sagittal) flexion - extension, side flexion and weight shifts (Frontal) and Trunk Rotations (Transverse) for a period of 30-45 minutes for 4 weeks. Group 2 received conventional physiotherapy with activities for a period of 30-45 min, for 4 weeks.
Statistical analysis: Unpaired t-test has been carried out to observe the treatment impact between groups before and after the treatment.
Results: After 4 weeks treatment period, subjects in group 1 (NDT Trunk protocol) compared with subjects in group II (conventional therapy) had a statistically significant improvement with outcome measures at 0.05 level
Conclusion: NDT trunk activation protocol was found to be effective in improving sitting postural control and helps in enhancing functional reach ability in cerebral palsy children.

Objective of the Study:• To evaluate the effect of low frequency vibratory stimulation on biceps brachii spasticity in subjects with hemiplegia through Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS).
• To evaluate the effect of low frequency vibratory stimulation on biceps brachii spasticity in subjects with hemiplegia through Passive elbow extension Range of Motion (PROM).
Materialsandmethod: 30 hemiplegic subjects were divided into two groups, experimental group received Vibration treatment in addition to the daily sessions of conventional physiotherapy which includes weight bearing exercises of upper limb, stretching of biceps brachii muscle and cryotherapy,where as control group received only daily sessions of conventional physiotherapy treatment for a duration of 30-45 minutes, six days per week for a total of 4 weeks.
Results: After a 4 week treatment period, the subjects in the experimental group compared with the subjects in the control group had shown a statistically significant improvement with outcome measures at 0.05 level.
Conclusion: Vibratory stimulation along with conventional physiotherapy was found much effective in reducing biceps brachii spasticity in the subjects with hemiplegia

Objectives of The Study
1. To know the efficacy of Epley's maneuver in improving the QOL in subjects with PC-BPPV using DHI and VADL. 2. To know the efficacy of Semont maneuver in improving the QOL in subjects with PC-BPPV using DHI and VADL. 3. To know the efficacy of Epley's maneuver over Semont maneuver.
Methodology: 50 subjects with BPPV were randomly divided into two groups, group I received Epley's maneuver (n=25), and group II received Semont maneuver (n=25). Both maneuvers were given therapy with respective procedure for three repetitions per session, one session per day and were given for 5 days in a week for 3 weeks. The questionnaire of DHI and VADL were evaluated on day 1, day7and day21 in both the groups.
Results: After 3 weeks of treatment period, the subjects in group I [Epley's maneuver] had shown statistically significant improvement with the outcome measures at 2.18 F-table value compared with subjects in group II [Semont maneuver].
Conclusion: Epley's maneuver was found to be much effective in improving the quality of life in subjects with PC_BPPV than Semont maneuver.
